Cheers! New Alcohol Content May Surprise Wine Drinkers
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Wine is the drink of choice for many people -- and while the alcohol content in wines has not reached the level of hard liquor -- more wineries are increasing the alcohol levels in their products, NBC 4's Monique Ming Laven reported.

California wineries appear to be the biggest producers of increased-alcohol wines. According to wine sellers, other wineries, both domestic and imported, are following the trend.

Michael Ferres has owned a wine shop for more than 25 years.

"Wine business is very good," Ferres said. "People are enjoying wine more than they've ever had."
