Whiy is Rove called "Turd Blossom"?

I'm probably the only person on DU who doesn't know the pathology behind what sounds like a very appropriate nickname, so can someone fill me in?

5. Amoral, but not evil? huh?

Apparently, according to Wayne Slater, "amoral" is a-ok.

"He's amoral. He doesn't set up a plan to damage, defeat or destroy his enemies because he's evil. He does it because he's so unbelievably competitive and amoral that that's the result," Slater said.

Well what the hell is the definition of evil? Exactly what threshold must be crossed for someone to be identified as "evil"? Or is "evil" a term that can only be applied to non-Christians?

it was Dubya himself who gave him that nickname. There are no end of citations on the web, but here's a recent one: "If Dubya doesn't fire the man he nicknamed "Turd Blossom" for this offense, he's an even bigger hack than I think." http://slate.msn.com/id/2122393/?nav=ais

Dubya shows himself to be incredibly small-minded and mean-spirited, in the insulting nicknames he hangs on people he's so DEEPLY indebted to. He also did the same to Cheney, but I doubt he'd have the balls to try that on Condi.
