First, I may be the only female on DU that well over half that list could apply to...x(

And second...everytime I see your name I giggle because I inevitably read it as "arsechild". :D (No offense intended. ;))

*looks down shirt* Still a girl here! I personally don't mind mild joking about gender roles and stereotypes, but that's just me.

I hear that stupid fucking joke every single day and it just doesn't follow. I once worked a job where I was asked for a lot of directions and the majority of the people asking were men.

And to tell you the truth, having once also worked as a janitor, men are a lot cleaner in the bathroom then women.

I ask directions a lot. I know many men who ask directions.

And I, too, was a janitor in a grocery store. HATED cleaning the women's rooms, because I never knew what kinds of destruction lay in wait for me. Sometimes the women's rooms were positively disgusting. Men's rooms? Only very, very rarely. I was totally shocked at how dirty women are. And this was a grocery store that was open 24 hours a day, and was frequented by people of all income, education, and age brackets.

By the 3,000th time we've heard "I dunno, I don't live around here" and the 4500th time we've heard "Why dontcha buy one of my maps, y'cheap fuckah", we've gotten the message....
