Bedtime for Bonzo...

Starring Ronald Reagan. Do you think any right-wingers would have a problem with this movie about St Ronald and a Chimp? (Although I had not known that Dubya had made any movies?) Has anyone seen this movie? Is it true that the Chimp comes across as smarter than Ronnie? This wouldn't tarnish the myth, would it?

Think this might be on a couple of cable networks this weekend? I have never seen the movie and have no idea if Ronnie tried to talk the Chimp into a taxcut? This is the type of movie that George W would thoroughly enjoy.

I think some group tried to arrange screenings of it back in the 70s, but it kind of backfired since it really isn't THAT unflattering to His Drooling Majesty.

The title/concept is enough to mock him for, though.

Come to think of it, rather strange that you don't really see Reagan movies too often on the telescreen. You'd think AMC would schedule dozens of them in between their John Wayne-centric programming.

Me, I'm waiting for them to run "Donovan's Brain."

But I would stop short of saying he is an adequate actor. And Angie Dickinson deserved that. That bitch had it coming. :D

4. Bonzo is not good, but not bad either

little kids might like it. Most of Reagan's films were pretty good but he actually did make a couple of good films--"Kings Row", "The Voice of the Turtle" and "The Hasty Heart" actually stand up pretty well. But most of his cinema offerings were more in tune with "Bonzo" and B-westerns.
