Does your polling place serve food?
Or is this just a local thing? Here in rural western PA, many polling places are in fire halls or churches and it's common to have pirogies, chicken and dumplings, or some other fund-raising food sale nearby. I vote at a fire hall where they have a fish fry every election day. It's certainly motivation to get out and vote!

1. Always a bake sale
The women from the local Methodist church always have good stuff to eat next to the polling place. But I live in a village where everyone knows each other anyway. People I don't even recognise know my name, which is a little disconcerting sometimes.

2. They used to sell baked goods ...
brownies, cupcakes, etc. But I haven't seen this happening this year.

BTW - Lynn, MA. About 15 miles north of Boston on the coast.
