Just discovered this one while browsing the 'Ask the Administrators' forum. They're going berserk over that GD thread about continuing the bloodshed in Iraq (you all know which one I'm talking about).

What's really pathetic is that the neocons are so hard up for material they have to troll DU for material. I'm not just talking about LGF. Insannity, Sullivan and Lowbrough have also dissected posts from DU. Who's next - O'Really?

Pretty sad that DU is their best source for material.

Let's face it, there are fringe elements in every movement. A visit to Free Republic will show some pretty shocking opinions as well. I've actually seen some that showed callousness for soldiers' deaths. How's that for 'suporting the troops'?

I doubt that one post on a message board reflects the entire site or movement as a whole.

It's sad that ones have to stoop so low as to find single posts on message boards (like Hannity, Limbaugh, Sullivan) to make a point. This is really grasping at straws.

If this is the only way you can attack the left, you really are shooting with an unloaded gun.

Pretty level-headed, right? No flaming, no profanity. Just 'fair and balanced' discourse.

See how long it takes to get deleted.

But then the knuckle-draggers took over, and I left. Found DU, and never looked back.

With well over 700 posts on DU (pretty good 3 month total, btw ... perhaps its time to step away from the keyboard) you know perfectly well that what you said about "fringe elements" is pure bull. Skinner deleted the original thread in its entirety but, lord knows that there are a ton of others in the archives that are quite nearly as bad. The original post was by a member with over 7,000 posts. Other members with impressive post totals have said things that are nearly as vile and hateful. I'd be happy to provide you with examples if you happen to be a glutton for punishment.

I will note that not only did you, a DUer who was aware of the thread, not condemn the original poster (Starpass), but you did not weigh in on the subsequent (now locked) thread in support of Starpass and killing American soldiers. Your "fringe element" coment rings a little hollow in light of the fact that your only involvement in this thread at DU involved your kissing Skinner's ass:

...the webmaster of littlegreenfootballs has a nasty habit of posting the IP address (and any other personal info he can glean from it) of banned posters and urging his frothing minions to harass those who dare post an unwelcome opinion.

Went back and it looks like they really pour through DU.

They posted my name, my pic, and my hometown.
