Why do disrupters have so little ingenuity?
I just signed in, and noted the name of the newest DU member...

If he's NOT a disrupter, he should've picked a better name.

8. A freeper is a poster at freerepublic.com...
...they are small of mind, and slightly to the right of Attila the Hun on the political spectrum...

3. Or seeing how this is a Liberal forum
people shouldn't care what people's names are. That's something petty, that I would expect a RW forum to do, but hey I'm knew, mayber I'm wrong. You tell me.

9. Someone who signs on to a liberal board with the name...
..."bedwetting liberal" is not there to provide substantive discussion. That person is there to be a disruptive jerk, so we can mock them if we want! :bounce:

10. Cool screenname. Welcome to DU!
Well, to answer your point, people choose a screenname, and that choice tells others something about them, unlike the name their parents gave them.

I assume from your name that you are a physicist, engineer, or a student studying (and enjoying) physics. Am I wrong?

The inference you draw from my screenname is likely correct, if you're drawing the one I intended.

The screenname I saw connotes either an ironic sense of humor, which will likely be evident when this person starts to post, or that s/he is a disrupter. I suspect s/he's going to have to explain the screenname frequently if it's the former.

15. Okay Okay, fair enough.
But when I see a name like the one in question, I think of someone that is truly liberal, someone that is lighthearted and willing to make fun of themselves.

I appreciate the cynical humor, as you can see with a different thread I started, and the "ironic sense of humor" is something I aspire to.

I dunno, maybe you have reason to be skeptical of this person, are there a lot of disrupting "freepers" on this site?

It is entirely possible. But I think most non-disrupters would realise that such a name would cause people to question them frequently.

We get our share.

A fair number of people here tend to be a little suspicious of those with low post-counts, anyway, until they establish their "street cred". So, starting DU life with a moniker of "bedwetting liberal" is a double-strike.

11. YOWCH!
3 "deleted" in this short a thread? You going for a record?

Seriously, it takes intelligence to create. All you need to destroy is a desire to do it.

I don't know what the other was...

What would happen if you created a screenname "Name removed"?

18. I tried on FR once
I tried to sign up various times as Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Anton LeVay and Mr. Drol Natas, but they're wise to those tricks.
