BATMAN: DEAD END short available for download online

48 MB file -- I don't recommend you trying to download it without a high-speed connection and some space on your hard drive.

A lot of people are crowing that this is the best BATMAN live-action film EVER...clocking in at eight minutes, that isn't exactly the case. The film was made by an upstart effects house to showcase their abilities, which they do very well.

The director is also obviously a fanboy, creating some imagery straight out of the books. (One shot, with Batman's cape and a puddle of rain, registers maximum geekgasm.) There are cameos that might seem out of place unless you visit a comic book store every once in a while.

But if you've got the bandwidth, check it out. Lots of fun.

The cameos have to be seen to be believed. Five Stars!!
