Cats 1- Birthing ball 0
Well the little critters were awful fiesty last night, the boy was scratching like crazy at the bedroom door-we let them in front time to time but he revels in keeping my wife awake so if she really needs the rest we shut them out.

At about 3AM I had had enough so I put them down in the TV/recroom (their litter and a water dish is down there) and shut off the bottom of the house.

This morning I let them out, fed them, walked downstairs with my first cup of coffee and found the birthing ball ripped open fully deflated of course.

Well time to get another one I guess.

4. I think it's like, an exercise ball
used by gravid women in labor

Why the kitties have one remains a mystery! Hmmmmmm. Little bitty tennis ball sized birthin' balls?

I'm getting a visual here . . . nah; just something on my contact lense.

7. heh heh
I guess that's usually a pre-condition of being in labor.

I'm drinking coffee this very moment. I should be fully re-caffeinated shortly.

The "birthing ball" is a wonderful comfort tool for pregnancy and labor. The ball was originally developed for physical therapy, and has been used for years by physical therapists in a variety of ways in treating orthopedic and neurological disorders, and also for exercise. For pregnancy and labor, it is versatile, portable, and easy to clean. It has become standard equipment in many hospitals and birthing centers, and is carried by doulas when they attend births.

Using the ball throughout pregnancy will stimulate postural reflexes and keep the deep supportive muscles of the spine in good working order. The ball has many uses in late pregnancy when sitting can become so uncomfortable and getting up and down from a chair becomes increasingly hard. The pregnant woman can roll up off the ball; it's much easier than getting out of a normal chair.

9. Ah, yes, the cats strike again.
Every once in a while, nature drives cats insane. Personally, I think it's the buildup of the hunting instinct.
