halliburton commercial..
-Halliburton - Supporting Our Troops-

Anybody else see this shit?! I can't believe Halliburton is running ads on the TV telling us what a wonderful job the good people at Halliburton are doing at ensuring that our troops are getting everything they need to make their stay in the 'raq as pleasant as possible, complete with ecstatic soldier on the phone at a call center exclaiming "It's a boy"!!! Unfuckinbelievable.. and I was just fixin to eat, too. Now I don't know what I'm gonna do!

2. They can afford it
Guess who is paying for these commercials? That's right - the U.S. taxpayer. Ike was right about the military-industrial complex, and under GWB, it is more embedded than ever before. Go ahead and eat. It won't get better, anyway.

3. Anyone remember The Groove Tube movie?
What was the name of the company with the fake commercials? They made Brown 25.

"For years, this lake was so badly polluted, the air so fouled by industrial pollutants,..." blah blah blah...sorry, nowhere close to the brilliant original script. Anyway, the screen shows a lakefront shoreline near a city, with tires and shopping carts and industrial waste and dead fish, and ooze, etc., with that perfect voiceover..."So, after years of research and $25 million dollars, we came up with this advertising campaign."

Sounds just like BushCo...throw money at it. Except schools. Then, you can't fix a problem by throwing money at it. Sheesh.

4. I saw that earlier
sure didn't look to slick. Pretty cheesy in fact. You know, like ads that were made to spoof other ads in movies.
