6. Our 2005 Mustang is the quietest convertible I've driven.
They've added and extra liner to cut back on the noise when the top is up. Not that we put it up very often.

15. DING DING DING! Greyhound, you're our grand prize winner!
Love the retro look...

I was going to say that it's their best-looking Mustang since the vintage models. But you kind of beat me to it.

20. My friend has a
newer Mach 1, and I hate riding anywhere with her, it's so jerky. I have been in other Mustangs and they weren't as bad but still not great.

21. It depends on the driver.
I don't slam the throttle down like some. I let it run out smooth.

28. jerky?
is it a manual tranny? if so it must be her driving and shifting style. My 99 is not jerky, but when my son drives it what out, one big jerkathon.

5. These new mustangs are really fun cars
My father in law has a hardtop 2005 Mustang GT. Nice sized V8 and sounds like a muscle car. VERY quick from 30-85. Just eats up pavement. Plus, the retro front end is nice to look at.

7. I wish they were more fuel-efficient.
With gas prices what they are, I don't think I could afford a car that got worse mileage than I'm getting now (about 27).

The six cylinder model gets 22-25 MPG (highway)
Still not as efficient as I would like but it was a good compromise as compared with the GT.

17. Yeah, but I'm getting 25 city, 31 hwy with an 11 year-old car.

Adding increased fuel costs to a car payment is not really in the cards for me.

Good thing my little car is in good shape so I don't have to worry about it now.

Edit - Automatic mileage for my car, too.

9. I love the retro front/rear end.
It's a damn sharp look. All it needs is the hood ornament. :D

12. It actually looks cooler in pics than IRL
My 2001 looks more like a muscle car than this...the front end looks way cool...the rear looks cheap and wimpy

19. I wouldn't own a car with antiquated technology like the new 'Stang.
It's the same old thing wrapped up in new paper. I haven't driven one, but all of the reviews I've read claim that it's a poor handling car (due to the old-fashioned live rear axle) and that the interior materials quality and ergonomics are bad.

I can understand the attraction to retro cars, but in all honesty, I don't think that the new Mustang is a very good looking car at all.

I'd rather have an Audi A4.

But still bad. The design just SCREAMS "we ran out of new ideas".

26. Reminds me of
my trip to mustang island.

Got totally bogged down in the sand. It was up to the frame.

Had to dig myself out singlehandedly.

At dawn.

Good times, good times.
