My family leaves for Disneyworld on Friday. My wife and son are so excited, and they can talk about nothing else. My wife is OBSESSED; as much time as I spend on DU, she spends on a similar type of site called the Intercot, in which people do nothing but taik about Disney. (They even get into flame wars about which rides should/shouldn't be close!)
I know I should be more excited, but this is my fifth time there. My wife and I went on our honeymoon. 3 years ago, I drove down (from Philadelphia) with my then 5-year-old son. I am Disneyed out. And while my wife is obsessed, there is so much of the country and the world we have NOT seen.
I really wanted to go to the Grand Canyon. I have never seen it, and I want to show my son that not everything wonderful in this world is man-made. The bright side of this trip is that my wife has commited to go there next (although that may have something to with Las Vegas being nearby).
Anyhow, be good to each other, and I'll see you in about a week and a half!
