Does your dog have any control over the cats behavior?

My two, year old tabby cats were having one of their play fights with all the sounds of a real cat fight. Hissing, yallowing and rolling on the floor. I din't think much of it but Buddy did. He is the alpha male of my pack of six dogs. He got up from his pillow and calmly walked over to the middle of the brawl and growled softly. Fight over, cats lounging in the cat tree.
He has broken up fights amongst his three pups before, I guess he looks at the cats as part of his crew too?

her blanket to be bothered..... with petty catfights and such... I admire your dog's control of the situation there though....

3. Here is a shot I took of the guys this past christmas.

Buddy is the dog in the lower portion of the pic. His pup (Moe) is above.

The kittens (Flea taxi & Chairman Meow) are comfortable around the dogs.
