My brother's best friend is being sent to Iraq. I'm pissed off!!!!!!

His National Guard unit here in Washington was called up and is being sent to Iraq in the next few months. He and I were roommates for about a year. He's a good guy, and now he's going off to the meat grinder over there.

He used to be a noncommittal right-winger, but friendship with my brother (the quintessential Angry Liberal), and Smirk's atrocious policies toward our service men and women have pulled him back from the dark side. My wife and I have prayed for him, and I hope he comes back home safe.

He called me on his way there and left a message on my answering machine.
