COUNTERPOINT--I JUST SAW 'MATRIX REVOLUTIONS' and LOVED IT!!!!!!!
(spoilers below)

I had a friggin blast with Matrix Revolutions. Sure it was hammy and over the top in many instances. But so was the original Star Wars. There was a lot of philoso-babble. But not as much as the last one, and about as much as Return of the Jedi. There are many moments that require suspension of disbelief. Well, duh, it takes place in the (Wachowski Brother's version of the) future.

A lot of people will nitpick because to them its much cooler than liking a cheezy sci-fi trilogy. Yes, people can live painlessly while being run through with metal bars (there are true stories of people getting run over by a train and getting stuck in between the platform and the car. Yes they survive, for a time) Yes the ending was amorphous. Yes, there was a lot of grand emotion and schmaltz. But its, the Matrix for goodness sakes, not 2001 or some fabled sci-fi Lawrence of Arabia that will change your life and make you a better person for having seen it. And those that hated it, have NO better

I loved the schmaltz, I loved the grand gestures, I loved the ceiling crawly guys, I loved the "Super Brawl". I think the ending was fitting...but hey, that's just me.

1. I'm Going at 6PM with My Daughter
Glad to have a good review. I'm looking forward to it.

I thought the second one was better than the reviews and word-of-mouth. You have to go with these movies and accept them for what they are to appreciate them.

2. exactly.
There were some people that hated Godfather II because there wasn't more of the Sonny beating the guy with a garbage can type stuff.

The Matrix is pop art. People loved the first one because it was new to them (of course wu-shu, anime, and manga fans had seen all this before). The sequels are sticking to its genre origins.

3. it was good
i loved Smith's insanity, and the bullet time punch to the face he got.

oh yeah and the kid who saved himself (see matrix anime) taking over the gun thing was kinda cool.

but the best part was when neo ran off one side of the screen only to show up on the other side. teh funnay

5. I think the best movies have flaws....
it means they tried something new or different and failed as opposed to the same old formula cookie cutter BS that Hollywood normally puts out.
