$100 U.S. = $140 Canadian, not $300 Canadian.

They had to wait 6 months longer for their version of Windows 98 just so that it wouldn't be compatible with the version from France.

Microshit than proceeded to charge French 3 time as much as Quebeckers...

I've never paid for a Microshit product since! (Damn it, I want to use Linux. But I have tons of stuff -- including my goddamn ADSL connection -- that's not working in my Mandrake installation. Oh well, Windows XP is good software relative to its predecessors, even if I do hate the company.)

4. I'm in the same boat as you...

I'm currently using Windows XP, which is FINALLY working OK. However, I'd like to get a Mac, and I really want to get a hard drive equipped with Linux up and running. I'm just swamped with too many projects to get it all together right now.

5. I'm using Mandrake 9.1 right now...

One thing I know for sure is that I'll use a Windows emulator to run WinAmp. Unless I can find a Linux media player 100% compatible with my WinAmp 2.x/5.x plug-ings. Some of music is in custom sound formats ripped from videogame consoles (yep, I'm that big of a geek) and by far the most accurate players for this music are WinAmp plug-ins. (SNESAmp, Highly Experimental, and in_gym).
