A reason to watch MTV's VMA awards: Green Day nominated 8 times

6 for their video "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and 2 for "American Idiot"

Nice to see real talent get awards at this MTV events

MTV is corporate music at its worst. They haven't had a heart since the original VJs left.

3. I'd like GD to ask MTV why they haven't played "Wake Me Up When

September Ends" (the video, not their live performance). I don't think mtv or mtv2 or whatever the hell it is has played it. It's not on their website...is that odd? Or maybe mtv doesn't like the message. Sure, teen masturbatory material is legit, but a kid enlisting and getting sent to Iraq is too much. Wouldn't want to get outta lockstep, eh mtv?

I haven't seen that one yet.

To be honest, I watch videos through Rhapsody, mainly if there is a song I really like and I want to see the Video (Btw, Broken Dreams deserves all the accolades it has received)
