Speeders - please post known speedtraps here

In Virginia, VA 29 from Warrenton all the way into Danville is brutal - cops out all the time, and they'll ticket you no matter how many/few cars are on the road. Also, why do all the state cops in southern VA look alike?

3. Roadblock/checkpoint Website
http://www.roadblock.org/

Introduction

This unique site, dedicated to the subject (and
elimination) of roadblocks on public streets, roads
and highways, is sponsored by the National Motorists
Association, North America's most outspoken
defender of drivers' rights (www.motorists.org). Our
position on roadblocks is not complicated.

Our Position

We oppose the use of roadblocks, period. The only
justification for stopping citizens under a roadblock
scenario is to warn them of an unseen peril that could
cause injury or death to an unsuspecting motorist.
So-called "sobriety check points," or seat belt checks,
or the myriad of other excuses the government
concocts to harass and intimidate its citizens through
the use of roadblocks are, in our opinion
unconstitutional and in direct contradiction to any
honest definition of freedom.

A free and open society that champions individual
liberty and personal responsibility---the kind of
society we try to tell the world the USA represents,
cannot condone the arbitrary stopping, interrogating,
intimidation and searching of citizens whose only
crime is to be peacefully traveling a public highway.
Roadblocks, as used in the US, are designed and
intended to use fear, intimidation, and inconvenience
to expedite a government edict or a political agenda.
They have a net zero influence on public safety. But,
even if there were a "safety benefit" related to
roadblocks, it would not outweigh the negative
totalitarian nature of this practice.

7. Really not a good site for speedtraps.
Although the do have good info as to police fleets in across the country. (Paint jobs, vehicle types) Makes a road trip easier if you know that Crown Vic up ahead is just an old guy because you are armed with the knowledge that that state uses Impalas.

The problem is it relies on drivers to report speed traps, and people write in every intersection they've ever seen a cop at.

9. Perimeter Drive @ Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg IL
This is no joke. The mall is so big, they had to sign over a mutual aid agreement to the city, who can legally pull you over for speeding in the Mall parking lot. The police park at a bank on the outskirts, and just run people all day.

But you really shouldn't be speeding here anyway. It's not a freeway, it's a parking lot. A lot of people get hit by cars here.

Population 1,000. The cops will harass you if you go one mile over the limit. They have nothing better to do.

15. Blue Ridge Parkway, near Asheville.
Park rangers sit in a pulloff back in the woods, just south of Hendersonville Road. It's really not a good idea to go over 45 anywhere on the Parkway, anyway.

17. I 295
It diverts I 95 traffic around Richmond, and also connects to I 64. There are several speed traps along it, but the biggest is at the foot of the Enon bridge, big fucker and only suspension bridge on the stretch, can't miss it. They mostly catch people going south here, but not always. Its at the bottom of the hill right before the grade starts going up for the bridge. State Police almost never sit here in marked cars, usually its a black Camaro SS, but I've also seen a silver Nissan Maxima.

Even still, if going north or south past Richmond Va, I suggest it. The people around here can't drive worth a shit, plus, its 65mph the whole stretch.
