We just got the strangest call at work.

My co-worker picks up the phone, says hello, and this woman says: "The standard time, please."

Pause, and my co-worker says, "Um... it's 10 minutes past one," wondering what this is about, since we sell china and crystal, but hey, it takes all kinds.

Then (this is my favorite part), the woman says, "Oh, I didn't expect you to be HUMAN!" :rofl:

What did she expect - a reptile? Anyway, we got a good laugh out of it. :D

3. I have an extra phone number at home and occassionally

when it rings I am sure (because of the timing) that it is a wrong number. I pick it up and say in my most mechanical voice:

"Hello! And welcome to MoviePhone! If you know the name of the movie you would like to see, press 1...."

8. When I was in college I dialed a wrong number and got...

an ethnic sounding voice saying only, "The coast is clear. The coast is clear." And then it hung up.

I tried to find out the number I called, but I couldn't get it again.

It was kind of freaky.
