Poll question: Morbid, but what would you rather have happen?
Right now I'm in #3 (more later).

As resources are dwindling and greed and other unchristian attitudes increasing and so on, keep the fantasy stuff in the trash bin. You have three options about your fate: Which do you choose?

1. How about
the non-profit you've been volunteering for (that provides holistic health care, including grants to pay for lab work for the uninsured and underinsured) raises enough funds that you can be hired on and not have to work for your presnt employer. The area gets a wonderful new Education Center for Wellness, you have a job you love, and nothing 'bad' happens to anyone.

2. I chose the first one.......
or rather, it chose me. I had an accident at work that required extensive back surgery (unsuccessful I may add). The upside, I'm well compensated financially, I don't have to worry about money between Worker's Comp, Pension and Social Security. The down side, I can't do anything I used to love doing and I'm in constant pain with no hope of ever leading a normal life again.

 Hey, I have to live what life dealt me. Life does go on.

6. I'm glad you're being compensated financially, but nothing
can compensate constant pain. I applaud your attitude.

3. i'd love to see the collapse of civilization
the social order decaying into chaos.

loss of basic utilities, financial systems collapse, the currency becomes worthless.

foodstuffs, fuel, territory become stuff you defend/procure with firearms.

this would be a great equalizer: the suburbanoids/wealthy/the smug/those who right now don't have to fight to survive scampering in fear because their credit cards don't work and all their money don't mean shit.

tribal bands where kinship becomes the primary organizational element.

yes, that would fucking rule.

4. I often fantasize about that too
like if some electromagnetic pulse bombs were detonated across America destroying all electronic technology at once. It would be a fitting retaliation against America, to deny people their gluttonous lazy lifestyles consuming all the world's natural resources and causing famine and disease to spread in the 3rd world states.

5. i can visualize
widespread panic and mayhem.

maybe cops and military organizing themselves as some kind of autonomous governmental unit.

maybe driving the main interstate into a large city (would be ill-advised under those conditions) and the skyline would be all black punctuated with fires here and the there, the report of gunfire peppered throughout the night air.

ceo's, fat cats of all stripes hanging from light poles. the ghettoes surging with power, spectacular violence, and retribution.

wow.
