Best "blaze of glory" ending: Wild Bunch or Butch Cassidy..
and the Sundance Kid?

I say Wild Bunch all the way. Warren Oates alone makes it twice as good an ending. That man was a great fucking actor.

1. Peckinpah was a genius
Watching Holden, Borgnine and the rest walking back into town to meet certain death is one of the best scenes ever. The Wild Bunch kicks Butch and Sundances ass all over the place.

4. I'm With You
The ending to "The Wild Bunch" is the best, by far. Anybody else remember all the controversy it kicked off? A lot of people were outraged by all the blood-letting, but once the dust settled, it was recognized for the classic movie that it really was. God bless Sam ("If They Move, Kill 'Em!") Peckinpah........

5. The Wild Bunch!
I saw it a few years ago on the big screen, what a movie!

Along those same lines, one of my all time favorite movies is "The Getaway", another Peckinpaw flick.

6. Warren Oates is Great
Check out Warren Oates in Peckinpah's "Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia." A great movie -- with an outstanding "Blaze of Glory" ending. Of the two mentioned -- Wild Bunch or Butch -- Wild Bunch is the best, in my opinion.

7. Wild Bunch...
Never really cared for BC&SK as a movie actually. Love the actors, but the story was just one big long chase scene, and I hate movies where that's the whole plot.

My vote for best blaze of glory endind EVER?

Scarface!

10. No Man's Land

No Man's Land
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer

Ciki and Nino, a Bosnian and a Serb, are soldiers stranded in No Man's Land -- a trench between enemy lines during the Bosnian war. They have no one to trust, no way to escape without getting shot, and a fellow soldier is lying on the trench floor with a spring-loaded bomb set to explode beneath him if he moves. The absurdity of their situation would be comical if it didn't have such dire consequences.

14. I can barely remember "The Wild Bunch," but Butch and Sundance
get my vote, anyway. Also one of the best screenplays ever shot.
