George Martin, legendary producer of a legendary band called the Beatles, was recently quoted as saying he "disapproves of modern technology because now anyone can make a record in the comfort of their own home."

He also noted that, "with iPods, mini-recorders and all the new technology, people can lie in their bath and make a rock record."

Is that a bad thing?

Voice modulators can make ANYONE sound great. Why should he care? Art died along with flower power; since then it's all about a fast buck. After all, we built this city...
