Spider-Man 2 is Pretty damned good
MrsScorpio agrees.

We both loved it.

It's the best of all the Marvel Comics franchises

3. I enjoyed it thoroughly
Not sure if I liked Spidey 2 or 1 the best, but I put them at the head of the comic book pack, ahead of all the Superman & Batman movies, as well as the two X-Men movies.

6. I didn't like it that much.
First off, what was up with the cartoon theme song on the violin?

Villain was done pretty well.

The Jesus imagery was pretty insulting of everybody's intelligence.

I thought all the business about being a superhero and getting to the GF's play on time was rather cliched.

Never felt excited during the big action climax.

I'll agree it's one of the better Marvel films, but I think it could have been much better.

7. Three possible villians showed up.
John Jameson: The Man Wolf

Doctor Connors: The Lizard

And Harry Osborne's Green Goblin

Who will be in number three?

11. Don't forget Venom....
When Jameson goes to the moon, he brings back with him the alien symbiote which leads to the black Spiderman as well as Venom/Carnage. Granted, it's a newer plot thread, but really well done IMHO. Now if they could get Todd McFarlane to work on the script, even better.

8. Best of the Marvel adaptations, yes; but...
"Batman Begins" and the original "Superman" are superior efforts. I prefer my escapist fare adult.

way too drawn out and hokey. Batman begins OTOH was awesome.

19. Yeah. Batman Begins was MUCH better.
Better even than the first Tim Burton Batman film, IMO. Amazing cast, great script, excellent director.

There's a rumour that Crispin Glover's going to be cast as the Joker in the next one, which should be interesting.

10. Another fan here....
Who would have thought that Raimi would have been able to make Doc Ock such an interesting villain? I wasn't even that big a fan of the comics, but I love what he did with the movies. It just sucks that we need to wait until 2007 for part three. I've been wracking my mind trying to think of who the villains will be. I think Green Goblin 2 or possibly Hobgoblin is a pretty sure thing, but I wonder who else there will be. I heard that Thomas Hayden Church has signed on to play a villain and rumors are floating around of massive amounts of sand on set suggesting Sandman. However, the failed Jameson marriage would seem to lead way to a Venom\Carnage plot line and I think Church would make an excellent Eddie Brock. Also, Professor Connors' presence might lead to an appearance by Lizard.

I really hope they incorporate Venom. Possibly being the last film, it would make sense that they use a more modern villain. And I've been wishing to see a CGI Venom/Carnage since I first heard about the first movie. Anyway, it's going to be a long 2 years, atleast I'll have X3 with Sentinels to keep me busy in the mean time.

15. From what I've read, yes.
Both Sentinels and the Dark Phoenix plot will be present in X3. I can't wait to see Sentinels on the big screen.

16. I happen to agree
the scene where Spidey and Doc Ock are fighting it out on top of the elevated train speeding through town and Doc grabs innocent passengers from beneath and just flings them out and Spiderman is able to both catch each person and then fling them over his back onto webs of safety he was simultaneously spinning is not only awesome to watch because it seems so real...I really liked this movie.

18. yes
and he took his mask off! And they commented how he was just a kid...now nothing like that happened in the old comics but it was a nice addition...

Plus the effects were as well done as I've seen, Doc Ock moving around corners of buildings and such were very impressive!
