Is it me? That almost Chistmassy spice smell--it's gone! H ave they cheaped it up or am I losing my sense of smell?

1. I hope it hasn't changed... it's one of my favorite fragrance.
Holds great memories for me. But I can't comment on your question - I haven't smelled it in a long time.

9. I've been wearing it for 20 years and haven't noticed a difference
As long as I buy it from a department store (Fields, Lord& Taylor, etc.)or at Perfumania. I did buy some once at CVS for a lower price-it didn't smell right. I suspected it was either expired, or it wasn't really Opium.

They did change the consistency of their body lotion a couple of years ago. It smells slightly different, and to be honest, I liked the smell better before, but it is a better moisterizer now.

They also have a "summer fragrence" version, that is a lighter scent. Maybe you bought that by mistake?

6. as you get older your sense of smell changes and then does a slow fade
sense of smell/taste (it is a linked sense) changes considerably from the teens through the forties and at some point also starts to decline

why kids hate brocolli and adults love it

why twentysomethings go for cheeseburgers and fortysomethings need to be tempted with more complex flavors

smell is the same way, we just don't think about it as much

8. It's not as strong--and I bought the perfume rather than
Eau de toilette--

I think they reformulated it. Id' like to try their 'summer' version, but right now the budget is all about school clothes and supplies for the gals!
