Woman calls 911 over cheesburger dispute w/ fast food joint

Why this woman was not arrested I'll never know. Sounds like one of those "security" moms.

At least it wasn't a finger in the chili this time. Makes you wonder how these people learned to chew.

Woman: Well . . . that is . . . that . . . you're supposed to be here to protect me.

Dispatcher: Well, what are we protecting you from, a wrong cheeseburger?

Woman: No . . .

Dispatcher: Is this like . . . is this a harmful cheeseburger or something? I don't understand what you want us to do.

I have to deal with spoiled brats like this woman on occasion. They abound in this area. Everything is "me, me, me" and "get out of my way, I'm in a hurry."

in today's society. We are all becoming a bunch of overgrown babies who don't do anything for ourselves, and don't handle anything amongst ourselves.

The average nose-picking American idiot out there (left, right and center) does not seem to grasp the concept of a free society - that the government can't and won't intervene in every issue .. the goverment does not even have a legal obligation to protect us from crime.

If we had a mommy/daddy type government that intervened for any little problem anytime we called on it - it would be a VERY oppressive government -- one that would eventually start to intervene even when we did NOT want it to.

but this brings back memories... as an EMS worker I worked dispatch many a nights... you would not believe what we got calls for....

My favorite was... I kid you not... cook sliced his finger cutting a tomato, and may, operative word, MAY need a stitch or two... they call us, taking a rig out out of duty for a call that could literally have been handled with a taxi. So we ended up taking this man to the ER... and to top this off... this was just after a call where I had to declare a kid who commited suicide... to say we were in a good mood is an understantement :sarcasm:
