Friday "what have you listened to today" thread
Today, I've heard:

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois (or Illinoise - has been written both ways) - it's just as good the second time

Jason Mraz - Mr. A-Z (at full album listening party - still don't like him. Too "precious" for me.)

Samples from:

Megan McCauley - very promising! She channels some of Janis's intensity. I like Evanescence, but she sounds better.

Shelly Fairchild - sounds like very good country/blues!

Marjorie Fair - sounds like it would make me space out - not good.

Alex Parks - was recommended at amazon, but didn't sound like I'd like her based on "Cry."

Also:

Hilary Duff's new single "Wake Up" - it's constructed better than any of her others except maybe "Hide Away," but I still don't like her voice.

5. Like A Stone - Audioslave
If I could sing like Chris Cornell, you'd never shut me up. I'd sing morning, noon and night.

7. Moby: iTunes Originals
Neat new studio recording esp. for iTunes, with commentary that spans Moby's career.

Bright Eyes... various albums, love that kid.

8. What I've listened to today:
Felt - Felt Vol. 2, A Tribute To Lisa Bonet (kick-ass hip-hop)

Tosca - J.A.C. (Richard Dorfmeister of Kruder & Dorfmeister, with Peter Huber...if you know anything about electronica, you've heard of K&D, most likely)

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing (Deluxe Edition) - reissue of something i already had, but worth it for the alternate versions and remixes.
