What would you think of a Democratic Underground TV hour?

If some station or channel (liberal minded of course) were to sponser such a thing?

It would be a cross between the Jon Stewert Show and MADTV, with political skits (that would be a hell of alot better than SNL). There would be an Auntie Pinko and Bob Bouldlelang (sp? I haven't been by there lately) segment as well as the Hate Mailbag and certain threads would be read on air.

So what do you think? You wanna add your own ideas and would you watch it?

I went to the activism forum a while back and suggested a podcast for DU
got a lot of positive feedback, but never heard back from the mods or admins
I would do one, but want DU
legal, du understanding, and Du thoughts etc.

I was thinking of an avenue that is more readily available to the public.

Hell I have DU TV playing in my imagination on a liberal only channel which is pretty cool.

I wouldn't mind at all listening to good readers reading interesting threads while I was waiting for my car to finish transporting me to work. I've heard a rumor that XM and Sirius have all sorts of bandwidth desperately in need of content. SOmebody should up and pitch it to them.

How do you picture it?

more of a cross between MAD TV and the Jon Stwert Show... we would be unapolgetic to the RWers, their spin and rhetoric. Also have some of that Blue Collar humor about RWers just as they do for liberals.

We'd have a new segment (The John Stewert part) We'd have political and non-political skits like MAD TV and then we'd have a Bob Boudland and Auntie Pinko skit as well as the Hate Mailbag, when it's available. These particular skits don't have to show up in every episode. Oh and the Top 10 Conservative Idiots would have to be on there as well.

As for the forum thingie, a thread or two would be shown on the air in a segment called "DU Speaks."

Too bad that we don't have the funds or means to do this as it would be cool if we could get it on Comedy Central or LOGO or some other liberal-friendly channel that wouldn't be afraid of us.

Some of the threads in the lounge are funny as hell such as the one yesterday on "what the lounge is", I can't find that thread but the dialogue was funny as hell

but I am sure that there would be hundreds of others.
