Any Idea What The Best Baseball Game Is For The Major Consoles.

Sorry Dem Fan, I don't know, but I have a similar question. I used to have Micro-League baseball; but it played in DOS! I loved it because I could play historic teams against one another... 1956 Reds vs 1961 Yanks, 1919 White Sox vs 1919 Reds, 1976 Reds vs 27 Yanks, etc. Are there any games out now where I can play OLD teams against one another like that still?? I couldn't care less about 2002 or 2001 teams, but putting the Nasty Boys vs the Babe, now THAT'S FUN!

You can update your rosters I think and you get major and negro league legends. This game is for hardcore fans like me if you want a normal game I recommend EA's game or High Heat.

It has an excellent batting/pitching interface,franchise and carrer modes with minor leagues included (AAA,AA,A Leagues),and solid graphics.I dont have the network adapter so I'm not sure if there's downloadable rosters,but I'm pretty sure there is.I'm sure any clerk at a game store can verify that for you.

My only real negative with All Star is the batting curser,but I know a lot of people liked that so it's a just a matter of preference.The Negroe League feature sounds outstanding though!

I would steer clear of MVP Baseball (EA's title).It's not bad but not even close to the others.One interesting feature that I kind of liked about it was that every pitch and throw uses a tri-click meter like the ones in golf games.It's a interesting way to try to seperate themselves from the pack of other titles.

On the X-Box a lot of people liked World Series Baseball,but I've never played it so I can't tell you anything about it :shrug:
