11. I'll vote for whichever one comes through for me ...
... but in the meantime, after having served the priest wine and having waved the censer during the Easter season as a kid, and having had some time to grow up and find my own way, I think the ancestors are the collective God. Maybe they have a boss ... I don't know. But I really doubt the Boss is an old man with a grey beard.

If you were God, wouldn't you cultivate a better image of yourself? An old guy in the sky works for Catholic school kids, I suppose, but to me it seems lame.

Oh, great! Now we're getting lightning. I should have gone to bed at a reasonable hour and kept my thoughts to myself.

That leaves us with each other. It means that we are our own family and stewards of each others' lives. Puzzlement over fate, why we're being persecuted and all other similar things are thus gone. We then have all the responsibility to make it work out, and we're performing live, without a net.

Fine by me.

But I might be wrong.

So what? With or without a guiding hand, it's a good assumption...

But symbols for meditation, Bodhisattvas, etc. Visually, Vajrayana Buddhism does it for me:
