Saw this Freepermobile this morning.
It was at the Sheboygan Yacht Club parking lot.
(That's my bicycle in front of it.)

Had the following stickers on the back:

"Bush/Cheney 04"
NRA sticker
"It's A Child, Not A Choice"
(Peace symbol) "Footprint Of The American Chicken"
"God Bless America" on camo ribbon sticker
Yellow ribbon sticker "Support The Troops"

Sheesh...

1. I get sheer joy thinking about how they must spend $75-100 a week...
...on gasoline. Sure, I know, if they can afford a hummer they can afford the gas. But just think if they have to spend $50/week on gas. That's $2600/year provided that they never go anywhere other than the basic trips around town.

12. I used to...
...until I realized how much I'm probably going to spend on heating oil this winter to keep my house at a not-so-toasty 60 degrees. Better be careful driving those pieces of shit around my neighborhood.

18. sheee-it, I spend 40 bucks just to fill up my 20-25 mpg 95 Cherokee!
Edited on Sat Jul-30-05 08:48 PM by fleabert
I bet it takes at least 100 bucks to fill it once, and I bet they fill it more than once a week. Those things get about 13 mpg...with a 32 gallon tank, that's only 416 miles per tank.

edit: I did the simple math, it's about 80 bucks to fill it at 2.50 p/g

2. Well
I'd be willing to bet my life's savings that the owner has no ability for critical, reflective thought.
A hopeless, spoon fed sheep who believes the corporate war machine as expressed through it's mouthpiece the television and especially FAUX News.

11. I've recently started living life without a car
and using my bike. Some adjustments, sure, but I take comfort in the fact that I am no longer using petroleum in the form of gas for my car.
I live in an urban area, where it is easier to do this kind of thing.
And the side benefit of increased physical fitness too.........

Trek 830. Quality bike. I like your ride better than his.

16. Thanks.
A friend gave the bike to me for helping him move, and after having the front brakes fixed, it worked great.

My only gripe is the tire stems require this screw-on adapter when I put air in the tires.
