Hey, let me tell u a little story. About 6 months ago, after posting for quite awhile. No one ever responded to my posts. I felt really bad, so I posted about it. I said "Hey why is everyone ignoring me?" and ya know...I got a lot of responses.

Now that I have been here awhile, I realize that there are a LOT of people here and it takes a long time and a lot of posting.

Since I have had serious health probs lately, I am on all of the time, and obviously get responses, but before that...well, I did feel ignored.

6. yea i have been around awhile too

Sorry If mt Tdo's sounded stormtrooperish. I was just trying to get mentally ill sick people to somewhere safe. Sometimes it involves cops. i thought it was the liberal thing to do. Jail is not nice. and yes i sign orders commiting a person for up to 72 hours. :wtf: is that bad?

i quess I am pissed cause i did a good thing, that coulda sounded bad to some. o yea , I respected some cops a bit back and got named a boot licker.

You fucks go into a situation with a schizophrenic, hopped up on coke, wantin to see the guvner, and I aint got nothing but my voice, my attitude and try to fiqure a way out for every one involved.

7. I've been in mental institutions

and I've met a few people like you are talking about. When they get in lock-down and get some meds in them they get much better. I think you're doing a good job.

I have seen my share of EDP's.

Cops? Secretaries with guns these days. Waste of time to call them for the most part.

9. My late mother suffered from mental illness

Wheh she was sick, one of my mother's favorite tricks was to disappear from my father and me, sometimes for weeks at a clip. One time, she ended up in a mental hospital in Florida, and we lived in Connecticut!

So I can say with complete authority, if not for people like you, I'm quite sure my mother wolud've died long before she actually did. And I doubt she would've died of natural causes, as she did almost ten years ago. (My god, has it really been that long?!)

You have a stressful job, but it sounds like you do good work. Don't let the dogmatic freaks get you down. And try not to personalize it. Just shrug and understand that we all have our differences here and we handle it with varying degrees of success. And bring in a shaker of salt. I find that it helps. :D

There are very different kinds of people here. But we generally have more in common, than not, especially in our desire for a better America.

But I am jus a po social worker. Me ME. The crazy doped teen,who never went to high school" to high" . I did sorts,but i took off in college. Got a call that a sick person was at capitol Square acting badly, really really wanting to see the guvner. He even tried to get past the police. I was called and the quy is going to the ward first, for treatment not jail . I handled that situation with finesse. I am DEMMAN, sorry i quess I want kudo's. Humility- I know I should not expect. BUT DAMN I WAS GOOD
