Am I the only Ohioan tired of LeBron James?
Yes he is amazingly talented and evidently very humble. But I can't read the paper, watch TV, or do anything else without some new thing about him. For Pete's sake he hasn't cured cancer.

1. No but you got to love him
He's bringing hope back to the cavaliers. Could be the next Michael Jordan.

3. Not from Ohio, from Denver and sick of him anyway
It's just when someone/something is hyped so much, it just nauseates me.

4. Not an Ohioan, however I hate how he gets so much attention
Not that I don't like him. I'm a big fan of talent. Of greatness. I just can't stand how kids are set up like that. So many people want Lebron to fail. It's ugly and foolish to build someone that young up to be something they may not ever be. Look at Darius Miles and Dajaun Wagner. If you were to read Slam Magazine, you'd get the impression the Cavs were unbeatable just by having Lebron, Miles and Wagner on the same team. In reality, those other two are supreme talents doomed to not live up to the hype. James can back it up more than those two, but he never should have had to deal with all that at his age.

5. Nope

I don't want to take anything away from his apparently phenomenal talent (I'm not a sports fan so I can't judge), but, yeah, it's becoming a bit much. I don't mind the Beacon Journal doing its daily Lebron story because I like the Beacon and Lebron sells papers and I don't have to read the articles; and it would be nice if he could turn the Cavs into a decent team (maybe they're already good, but that's not my impression; like I said, I'm not a fan). But I am getting a tad tired of the TV and radio saturation. I can't turn on WNIR for five minutes in the morning on any given day without Stan Piatt having his umpteenth orgasm over being able to drop Lebron's name into whatever subject he's on.

So that makes two of us, dsc!

on edit: more than two, I'm never fast enough to get in first, dad blame it

6. "very humble"?
Uh, no. His mother takes out a loan while he's still in high school to buy him a fully loaded H2, which he drives to class everyday.

Then he pilots a radio-controlled mini-Humvee around on the court before a preseason game, and has Nike base the design his $110/pair of signature shoes on the Hummer...which the salivating sports media attributes to his finely-honed teenage sense of satire.

NOT "very humble"...and if he stays on this course, surely headed for a Kobe-style self-destruction.

9. That doesn't mean he isn't humble
It just means he likes the Hummer.

10. By definition
If you buy a Hummer, you will never be confused as being "humble".

8. I'm not tired of him
but I am tired of the media hyping everything he does. It isn't his fault that they won't stop talking about him.

13. No, you are not alone. . .
a good friend of mine teaches at St. V's and says when he started there he was a sweet kid but by the time senior year and the hype REALLY hit, he turned into a major asshole. I don't blame him necessarily as much as his mother who was lookin' for the main chance from the day the kid got any attention.

14. I just hope your team can run because the Wizards are coming
And they have been blowing out teams that can't keep up early in games. They led the Mav by 26 won by 10, beat the bulls by 25, and beat the Raptors by 26.
