Ah, Madeline Kahn! I love her!
Watching High Anxiety--I just crack up whenever she's on the screen, even when she doesn't say anything!

I miss her!

4. Yes, sadly.
What was it? Two years ago? Last year?

She'll be remembered fondly.

I'll always remember her best for her roles in Young Frankenstein and especially Blazing Saddles. :)

15. She died of ovarian cancer, if I'm not mistaken.
Poor Gene Wilder -- he and Madeline Kahn had been friends since Young Frankenstein. He lost both a wife and a good friend to it.

11. Unforgetable
Everytime I hear news about us training Iraqi security forces, I think about the Mexican banditos on Blazing Saddles saying "Badges? Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!"

in 'What's Up Doc?' I saw that movie one night when I was babysitting (must've been about 13) and thought it was the funniest movie I'd ever seen in my life. Oh well. Madeline Kahn was great, and so was the snooty guy with the accent--I don't know his name, but he played a messed up Nazi in 'The Producers'.

14. You're upside down!
I love What's up Doc.
I saw that at the drive-in with my folks when I was a wee one.
Made a serious impression on me. The funniest movie I have ever seen. I notice new things everytime I watch it. Probably influenced my desire to live in San Francisco.

25. A true gem and american treasure she was
Loved her part in "Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother", too. Which film doesn't get anywhere near the credit it deserves. Wilder was hilarious, so was Feldman, and Dom Deloise in that movie makes me laugh every time he openes his mouth.

Madeline: How did you know there wasn't a Charing Cross Bank?
Wilder: I assumed you were lying.

(can't remember what madeline said - some street or bank name she gave.)

26. Her last on-screen role...
...was as a aging Long Island housewife in Judy Berlin (one of the most underrated films of the past decade). It's a wonderful performance quite different from her usual comic style -- both funny and sad at the same time.

(Her final performance ever was a voice part in Pixar's A Bug's Life.)
