Movies you like with actors you don't?
There are a small handful of films I've liked with Bruce Willis, but I can't stand Bruce Willis!

2. Nicolas Cage
Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 01:49 AM by Kathleen04
I've seen some good movies with him but overall there's something about his personality that doesn't sit well with me..

on edit: Raising Arizona is funny, I enjoyed that one about the lottery ticket and the waitress (name escapes me), Adaptation was interesting but his role as kinda creepy middle-aged twins didn't do much to help my perception of Cage..

16. This is a snakeskin jacket!
And for me it's a symbol of my individuality, and my belief in personal freedom.

15. Thank you.
Love Raising Arizona, but can't stand Cage. Probably because his facial expression is always confused...which worked well in RA.

3. Never cared for Frank Sinatra's acting...
Edited on Sun Aug-07-05 01:52 AM by punpirate
... but thought "From Here to Eternity" was a pretty damned good movie for the time.

On edit, it occurs to me that I've not really liked Daryl Hannah, either, but really liked both "Blade Runner" and "The Pope of Greenwich Village."

Never cared for James Belushi, but thought "Salvador" and "Thief" were very good.

13. Ken Watanabe.
"The Last Samurai" is worth watching for Ken Watanabe alone. What a man.

9. "The Untouchables", despite Kevin Costner.
And "The Last Samurai", even though I can't stand Tom Cruise.

14. Costner almost ruined that movie for me.
He was like a big sucking black hole in the middle of the picture, draining it of all life force.

17. Costner had a brief moment of yumminess
Check out "A Perfect World." It has Kevin Costner, Clint Eastwood, and Laura Dern in it. It's Costner's best work, and I agree he hasn't much of a body of work to choose from. But he's REALLY good in this.

Plus he's particularly yummy in Bull Durham.

Otherwise, he's 15 minutes is over.

21. Soylent Green.
At least Heston can act.

Working in a geriatric division at a VA in Texas, however, I get a bit nervous about demented guys and guns.
