That's what I'd like to say to all the 'patriots' who cursed us when we demonstrated last winter. They said we didn't support the troops. Well, that isn't so.
Things are slow at the dealership where my husband works. He's volunteered to stay home one or two days a week so that another mechanic, who is in the Guard, can have the work. This guy, who I'll call John, was deployed stateside earlier this year and its looking like Iraq will be next. Now, my husband can use the time to cut wood and work on neighbor's cars, but that's not the point. The point is that John doesn't have any work on the side, and could use with extra work because the mechanics are paid by the job and not by the hour. My husband asked that any work that comes in that would have gone to him go to John.
I just wonder how many Bush supporters are doing similar things.
