Sex Toys

Okay, probably too early for this, but I'm curious as to the opinions of others regarding sex toys (for women primarily) as not a substitute, but an addition to one's sexual repretoire. I guess the question is mostly for strait guys, but anyone with an opinion is free to chime in.

A vibrator can be useful when you're not exactly in the mood to ...you know... lube up your woman.

I don't really need lube.. fingers or a tongue usually take care of the wet factor. :)

I've always wondered what sex toys were. Are vibrators what you are talking about? Are they the only toy? I really am clueless.

Why are the DUers that put up "sex polls" interested in other people's sex lives on a political board? Yes, I know it's the "Lounge," where non-political posts go...but, it seems odd to me that there are so many people interested in what people or doing, or how often they are doing it.

I am not interested in a flame war here; just seriously curious. The most curious thing to me are the women I respect that are posting these....I realized that was a sexist statement-but, it is what I am curious about.

it's just interesting to see what people are experimenting with or how they're doing it. I guess we can figure out what the other sex likes here. I know I learn a lot from these discussions.

And it's the only place I can go and get the opinions of other males. Not trying to be provocative really. I'm just comfortable with discussing these things, but in my life, there's no other men I could really ask and not have them think I was coming on to them. If people don't want to answer, they don't have to.
I guess my question in return would be why can't a women be intelligent or thought provoking and also be a sexual person? Does enjoying sex (and not being afraid to admit it) make a woman somehow less worthy of respect?

At least a little bit. I admit that the "Latest" page on DU looks tawdry on occasion and I have alerted mods to kill some threads on occasion (and they have killed them!).
