So, I've been thinking a lot today...

The execs called this morning and said the "Squid Week!" pilot won't be going to series next year... so it looks like I have some time on my hands now...

But where does one go from here?

I always feared I might be typecast after the raging success of "Shark Week!"... and I knew they were going to pressure me into a spinoff... I KNEW it...

"Let's do something different," I said, "Let me play Macbeth... I want to be Macbeth!"

But they insisted on "Squid Week!"... and I agreed... sign the dotted line...

And the deal smelled bad from the get-go.

Now, here stand I, sundog... a child prodigy with nowhere to go.

Here I walk these streets.

What shall it be?

As I wander aimlessly in this dizzy haze... and the people in the shopping malls point and say, "Hey! There's that guy from 'Shark Week'," and hurry back to their warm homes and tell their children they saw the guy from "Shark Week!" today at the mall and ask them to pass the potatoes and gather by the fireplace and carry on with their merry lives...

Relegated to the occasional sitcom guest spot...

or worse yet playing myself in a spoof film version of my own show ...

maybe some daytime TV work...

Or worse of all back to auditions once again... and I, sundog, like a young schoolboy awaiting tickets to his first Peter Cetera concert... only to find out it sold out... "we'll call you"

Tossed like a minnow in the cruel riptide of fate...

Albeit in pretty small letters at the bottom of the screen it reads

"please enjoy alcohol responsibly"

The juxtaposition of you and that message would be too much I fear.
