I've figured it out: Robertson is a comedian and The 700 Club is satire!
Nobody can truly be THAT batshit insane (with the exception of maybe Tom Cruise). This has to be the explanation.

They used every trick in the book; a few times Jim Bakker cried into the cameras that they didn't have enough money to broadcast in color anymore so the next day they had the show in black and white, and they cried some more! Of course, the money came rolling in; they didn't bother telling their flock that the cameras had a switch that you could set for color or black and white, and that it made no difference on their expenses, but hey, it worked, I guess..

6. It was funny stuff
I said on another thread the other night that I watched those shows for laughs with friends all the time w/ a bowl of weed and it was just surreal to watch. Even stoned we realized how big a fraud these people were; it was so over the top that you help but notice it...

2. Not sure if you get the show up in the great white north..
But, in the land of "WTF" they put a disclaimer at the beginning of the show letting us know that this is basically an infomercial. They buy a block of time just like the company behind this gem..

Another couple of batty "reporters" on a Christian "news" show. Yeah, there's unbiased coverage for you.

I expected his co-host to be a dinosaur, given that her name is Rexella, but she just turned out to be an angry Republican. Same difference. ;P
