3. We're still getting her used to human contact
She was the only one in her litter that would not be touched. We had to trick her into the house for those pics! She needs a home...right now, she lives outside with her mommy...a stray that adopted us.

45. Do you have any local groups that could help?
I found one in my town last year. Since then, we've managed to trap nine feral cats for the spay/release program. Also, I just trapped two kittens who will be socialized in, of all places, the Women's State Prison! The little convicts will get used to people there. (I'm sure they'll get loads of attention)! The thing is, I didn't know about this group, called Animal Allies, until I went online and did a search. Whatever you decide to do for the little cat, I'm heaping praise upon you for being a caring human being! You're a kitty hero!

50. Well, she's out there with mer mom
So, I know she's OK. The trailers have lattice instead of skirting, and she is still small enough to fit through one of the holes in the crisscross, so she can get away from anything chasing her. A friend of my son's has said they want her, but I have to wait until his mom gets paid again. I don't know if that's a real deal or not, but I don't mind feeding her.

I'd have her and Mom inside if my other three would allow it.

57. Oh, wow! I'm so glad that you're living up to your user name...
And I sure can identify. My kitty, whose pic I'll also post, though it's not as good as yours, had a similar problem. All my guys are rescue, but this kitty is the one who I rescued myself. I fed her for almost four months outside until the weather began getting bad and I began to panic. So I had to resort to using a have-a-heart trap that I borrowed from the animal hospital to finally bring her in.:-(

And it turned out that she was a spayed female who had gotten away from a neighbor when she moved. This poor kitty had been on her own far too long, had been through hell, and had "lost trust," as I was told by someone who works with ferals. I got excellent advice from her, as well as a book on the subject, "The Stray Cat Handbook," and some great articles from Alley Cat Allies, which you may be familiar with. But the most helpful thing was when she had badly-needed dental surgery. My vet said that she must have been in pain. This completely changed her into almost a lap-cat! :D

Kudos for you for persevering with this. I know it's tough... She looks so very sweet and is so lucky to have found an angel like you!O8)

38. yes I do
I was 5 or 6 and one summer evening I got scared from a black stray cat. It jumped on my head from a nearby roof and then ran away.

That day I started stammering. Words starting with K, C, S and T... Not all words of course but words starting with these letters only. It took almost 2 years to recover from it and even to this date sometimes I still stammer but it is very very rare.

I am 31 now and I am still scared of cats. I can't stand within 10 feet of a cat.

I like them on pics and videos and I think they are adorable creatures. But I guess I'll have to live with it.

62. Nah
She's just spoiled rotten. She's got diabetes and went from nearly 14 lbs to 7. She's now back up to 8.5, which is good. I have to give her insulin every day, but she's a trooper and tolerates it well.

She's spoiled because she was the new baby when my old ladies were in the waning years of their lives. When two of my ladies died (sisters, Alyn and Sandi, 5 months apart), she was the youngster with Piccolo, the last of my old ladies. Piccolo died a year and a half later, and I began to acquire new kids.

69. Wealthy assholes who got "bored" with their $1,200 kitties.
they literally threw India (real name "Bangles"-unimaginative assholes too) and her sister out on the street! Her sister couldn't be caught by their neighbor, who is still searching for her. Fortunately, a nice woman is adopting India from the holistic pet food store where I show them tomorrow. She's done TNR work with ferals and works at Sea World ( she knows wild animal trainers), so I think she'll be able to handle India's semi-wild disposition.

66. Wish I had pix of the neighbor's "Cheese Cats" They have
about a dozen ginger tabbies, all of them named after various cheeses. They had a couple to begin with, then they rescued a tiny female off the streets of SF who was being used as a breed cat by some homeless people. She was pregnant, and they ended up with a litter of 6. They've since rescued another litter of ginger tabbies.

Names (that I know) are: Cheeto (the original), Cream Cheese and Fontina (my favorites), Romano, Provolone, Gouda, & Tillamook.

These folks built a kitty compound that is all fenced in, and now that they are renovating, they built a separate compound around their new guest house while the main house is being done.

My dog and I visit them every day when we are out walking.
