1. My life is
one that has ups and downs, changing from day to day. There are times of great elation, times of despair. But the important thing is to always remember that Truth will always shine through.

4. My life sucks.
I am stuck living in a shitty part of the country. I doubt I will ever have the financial wherewithal to get out. Therefore my life's ambition has been reduced to respirating until I keel over.

The end.

9. Lady Effingbroke . . .
It might be that the red state you live in _needs_ you. Your heart and mind (and warrior spirit) make you a rarity.

5. I'm trying to stop living a life of regrets
and focus on the now. This feeling of being alone is hard to overcome.

7. You'll love this quote.
From "The Sportswriter" by Richard Ford:

". . . you must sooner or later face the possibility of terrible, searing regret. Though you must also manage to avoid it or your life will be ruined . . . I believe I have done these two things. Faced down regret. Avoided ruin. And I am still here to tell about it."

11. Read "The Sportswriter" if you ever get a chance.
Here's a review: http://www.nytimes.com/books/97/07/13/reviews/15575.html

8. I know, BlueIris.
I've been there. But I believe that life is cyclical, and more like a circle than a long, desolate line drawn out to some distant, grim horizon. If things are hard now, that means better times are coming.

12. It's going good, I can't complain.
I am unemployed and have to start looking for a job starting Monday after having taken 3 full months off. $5 in my bank account. But, the rent's not due to the 15th, my tickets to the DC rally are already paid for, and I guess I'm just naturally optimistic.
