Another one of those. Man, propaganda works so well. How many people do Republicans get to shoot themselves in the foot every year at election time?

1. I can top that (sad to say)...
a terribly overweight (obviously glandular) sacker at the grocery store we frequent, probably about 25 yr old, obvious health problems, obviously financially "challenged"..."bush* is the best man for the job"

go figure.

Even then he wouldn't be the best man for that job, either.

11. sounds very similar to a guy I know
he is over 400 pounds, has health problems, dropped out of college, has no social life other than Dungeons & Dragons, works odd hours as a guy that monitors home alarm systems (meaning, he calls the police if somebody's home alarm goes off).. yet, he always votes Republican because he is afraid Democrats might take his guns away.

14. Because he lives a useless, piece of shit life, with no hope and no sense
of accomplishment and nothing in his life that satisfies his ego or his id, he has to vote republican because he's filled with self-hate, but he's too ignorant to acknowledge his self-hate, so all that negative energy gets spent toward making sure that the little useless island of filth that he's carved out for himself doesn't end up being owned by some slimy wetback or towel-headed piece of shit. He'll happily and speedily cut of his own leg, even an arm, just to make sure that some fucking piece of foreign fucking immigrant filth doesn't steal the little bit of the pie that he has. Since he has no capacity to learn more, or reach for more, or ever have more than what he has, he has to protect it.

Sad thing is, the republicans aren't the party that will protect his racist, filthy, piece of shit life. They will sell him to Mexico as soon as they can. And that's the real shame, that the democrats can't reach out to the hopeless, ignorant, lifeless fucks with the message that the democrats are, in fact, the only ones who ARE actually trying to protect them, even though they don't deserve it.

16. Funny how people like this don't seem to stop THEM
from buying property and businesses in this country and becoming quite successful. Some purchase businesses, some create their own, either way--by going on about their lives and pursuing their dreams, they are getting everything assholes like this will never realize. His vote can't stop them.

He's just fucking himself over with his own vote, and drowning in his own hatred.

Go figure.

18. Well, yeah, dude, but listen.
Sure, the Republicans will destroy his life; cause him to lose his job; cause health care costs to go through the roof, so he can't afford it; make it impossible for his children to get an education; drive up the national debt, so he and his kids will have to pay it all back with interest; send his kids off to die in a war for no reason; rape the environment and cause more climate change, leading to these hurricanes; and destroy any hope he ever had for a good life with his family. BUT, BUT, they will prevent Tom and Bob next door from holding hands! So you have to look at the bright side, man.

21. Yep! As long as marriage is protected, so that fundy repukeChristian fucks
can have the highest divorce rate in the nation of all demographic categories, then I'll happily sacrifice my entire livelihood, and, when I'm in the shitter for the sole reason that a republican president fucked me in the ass so much that I lost everything, I'll still blame the wetbacks. Because they're immigrants, and because they're fucking Catholic, which basically is the same category and equally evil.

19. It is a mystery
I'm a somewhat Governor Dean supporter. When the shit hit the fan aobut Governor Dean saying what he did about drivers of beatup pickup trucks should be voting Democrat, I was in complete agreement. I've been in a WalMart parking lot, thinking similar thoughts, that all these people should be voting Democrat, but I bet they don't. For that matter, the low voting turnout of poorer people defies understanding. They get hurt the most under repuke administrations, but still they don't use the one civil function that is the same as the richest person alive.
Religion trumps a lot. I have fundie relatives that hated Clinton, I think because he was a Democrat that wasn't 100 percent against abortion. I haven't talked to them for years, so I don't know how they fit chimpie into their great moral universe.
What we see know is the politics even trumps war. The freepers, the l-dotters, the little green football men aren't concerned that chimpie started a war for the most bogus of reasons. He's a repuke so they have to back him, at least when it comes to talking. Enlisting? That's a whole different game! We'll talk about that later, much later!

29. I think these people believe that by aligning themselves with
the repukes, some of the money and glitz and good ol' fashioned american work ethic and morality (ha) will somehow rub off on them. They just want to be a part of the action any way they can, even if it's only by giving georgie the nod at the polling place after which they slink back to their unkempt and stinking shacks to dream about their big lottery win. They don't get that they're being used. That's where they almost deserve pity. But I don't have any for them.

34. "Cargo Cult" ReTHUGlicans...
Edited on Wed Aug-31-05 10:28 PM by BiggJawn
They almost make me laugh. There they sit, in their little rusting mobile homes or roach-infested rentals with the kitchen floor that SAGS between the joists, staying up till 12:30 putting a U-joint in the '81 Trans-Am so they can get to their little shitty $6 job at 6AM, and WHY do they vote GOP?

Because they've been listening to Gush Pfleghmball for so long that they've swallowed that bullshit about "Friends....The Republican Party is your FRIEND! Why, if you keep voting for Republicans, then SOME day, YOUR ship will come in! After all, it's been said 'A rising tide lifts ALL boats' (too bad you have your feet tangled in the anchor) er-HARUMPH!!! So, Friends, my legions in Eee-Eye-Bee land, Keep voting for the GOP, and you'll get YOURS!"

That's it in a nutshell. They think "Uh....Them republicans is RICH! so iffn I vote fer Republicans, then I'm a Republican, TOO, an' some day I be a RICH man, too!

Just like the Micronesian "Cargo Cult"
