I just sprinkled my pan of homemade cinnamon rolls with cayenne pepper
and it can't be brushed off. As if this day needed to get any crappier.

Fuck it, I'm eating them anyway.

2. cinnamon and cayenne are both "warm spices"-- I put cayenne in my hot
chocolate.

be prepared--those "warm" spices have a rather interesting effect

14. It wasn't on purpose BTW
I assumed that was clear. I meant to sprinkle cinnamon instead.

Didn't the Aztecs eat chocolate with cayenne? I could be in for a pleasant surprise.

18. ever see the movie "Chocolat" with Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp?
There's a scene were Juliette is serving Judi Dench some hot chocolate and sprinkles it with pepper. Judi says "Your cinnamon looks rancid" and Juliette says "It's not cinnamon, it's chili pepper" (or some sort of pepper). Judi tastes it and says it's wonderful.

So, you could have an exceptionally good batch of rolls!

20. Once used a scoop of salt instead of sugar making kool-aid
at my daughter's house (she had stored salt in what I thought was the sugar canister). BLECH!

21. Update: Not too bad!
Basically it's just has an extra "hot cinnamon" tingle.. Kind of tastes like mild Big Red Gum.

jalapenos in corn bread or jam, a sweet-hot taste. Don't sound bad to me.

25. That reminds me of an episode of "Little House on the Prarie"
Nellie was trying to get Almanzo by wooing him with dinner (yet having Laura cook it behind the scenes). Laura had designs on Almanzo, so decided to play a nasty trick on Nellie. The entree was supposed to be Cinnamon Chicken, but Laura used cayenne pepper to season it instead of cinnamon. When Nellie proudly presented the meal "she" had prepared, and they sat down and began eating it, the results were as one might expect.
