This is true, him and Wayne Gretzky are on a par.

2. President of the NHLPA

And Vancouver Canuck...he was the Captain until Mark Messier darkened our doorstep. I'll never forget that day, the day Linden was stripped of his "C" and it was given to Messier just because he was "the greatest" captain in NHL history. What they didn't understand, is that Trevor Linden is a god in Vancouver, people love him because he's humble, well spoke, and secretly does a shitload for charity. SO when they gave it to Moose, it was a death sentence....

The day Linden was traded, I remeber crying, and I was 18. All my life Trevor Linden was the one athelete I looked up to. He was "Mr. Canuck," the deity of hockey in my world. And they traded him...

When he was finally traded back to Vancouver.. I remember watching on TV when the annoucer said, "And at left wing, number 16...Trevor Linden!" the place went berserk... he's ours dammit~!

3. I regret that while living in Bellingham, WA,
I never made it up for a Canucks game. From the sounds on the radio, the fans are very supportive.

4. They were great
In the day, and I love how the rest of Canada loves to knock them... you know why they do? Becuase it'll be the first game of the first round and the Canucks will lose... and they'll still be 20,000 people on Robson street holding signs saying "Series final - 'whoever' 1- Cancuks 5."

Don Cherry, during the bad years... once said, because Vancouver was getting crazy attendance, "Vancouver fans are either the best in the league, or the dumbest."
