Congratulate me--I haven't had a cig. in 2 weeks

2 packs for 20 years. This is my most successful attempt at quitting so far. I feel so much better than the last time I posted too lol! Takes a good week to get over the craziness.

There is so much to live for - and those things really will kill you. Years from now, when you're having a very happy moment, you should pat yourself on the back and say "this moment was made possible by my willpower," because you're saving your own life.

I only smoked for a couple of years, but even then it was really hard to stop. I admire your strength.

The only thing I can say really is that I found out my uncle has lung cancer and it scared me enough to get serious about it. :shrug: I have tried a few time before this. Tried zyban, gum, patches, etc. This time, I said the hell with it and just quit cold turkey. It is without a doubt the hardest thing I've ever done! You can do it though!

my hubby quit too, but he's deployed to Biloxi right now and I suspect he'll be smoking again when he gets back. He quit for two years before this, and started when he got deployed. Something about the Army makes you want to smoke. :P

2 weeks is big Bamagirl. Our pediatrician said that day 11 was the biggie you are past it.

Don't you feel so much better? Yeah there are the cravings here and there (at the normal times) but over all don't you feel like the sun is always shining on you, like it is always a spring day????
