Will Shepard Smith be Born Again?
Do you suppose while he's down there sweating it out with the ones he calls "refugees" and complains about nobody doing anything, do you think he'll catch on to the fact that this is a situation that he helped to create? While he played cheerleader for every move of the Bush Administration from the comfort of Studio B, poverty was overtaking our communities and FEMA funds were being slashed, well here you go, Shep! Praise Bush now, let's hear it.
Hope he changes his tune from now on. Come on over to the good side, Shep! You're almost cute when you're not wearing makeup.

1. I have to say it -
I never watch FOX, but I watched Smith's coverage last night and was riveted. He was angry and upset about all the people not getting help. I hope he has a change of heart - leaves FOX and does some meaningful investigative journalism when all this is over.

2. Shepard Smith has done well
He's been a stand up guy. I was shocked to see him act like that. Maybe some people can change.

3. Yep, he's been my Arthur Kent througout all this
Anybody remember the Scud Stud?

Yes, the price of Shepard Smith's stock has risen like Google for me over the last 48 hours. Hope the humanity lasts.

4. He shouldn't be.
Hell, he should have been shot for referring to Louisiana's parishes as counties.

8. I hope so - in both senses
For a while he's been my wicked crush, if he repudiated Faux and all its detesible enormities I'd feel far less guilty.

9. There's something sexy about him.
But I can't get past the whole Fox News thang, but that's what pillows are for.

10. I find I can watch if I treat it as satire.
The channel is soooooo far from being news reporting - but it is almost a parody of itself.

The worst part is that during the ad breaks we just get this rolling weather forecast with the most nasty tacky backing music - it drives me mad, and I switch to B.B.C. News24 with no ads at all.

7. I've been watching his coverage because it is so good
He was helping people climb out of the water, trying to get attention to all those people stranded on the overpass. He is doing a great job covering what is happening there, and in trying to help people get to safety.

I don't think someone can go through what he is going through without it changing him to some degree.

Also, I agree that he does look much better with no makeup and natural light, then his studio look.
