The VA Hospital in Michigan - A Pit of Hell

I talked to my Step Mom again today - I'd thought you like to know:

Thanks to President Chimpass for overseeing a lack of increases in the VA budget, Iraq War vets are now sleeping on mattresses on the floor and in cots at the VA hospital in Michigan. It's pure mayhem there, right now.

Remember that Pres. Clinton had downsized the budget, back in the '90s. But there wasn't a war back then, and vets rolls were declining because of force reduction.

But when his Chimpitude decided to get his war on, don't you think that increasing the VA budget and capacity should be increased in order to handle the eventual increase in casualties?

Like anything else that requires common sense to that fucker, the answer is, "Fuck No."

Troops suffering from PTSD are getting NO TREATMENT AT ALL, NONE, ZIP. According to MSNBC, the toll is up to one in eight, ONE IN EIGHT.

After a while, the hospital just hands these people a black plastic bag filled with their belongings and put them on a Greyhound Bus to Detroit. That's where they're being dumped in Michigan. You can expect that the same is happening all over the country, where VA hospitals are being swamped.

IF, you have someone in long term care in a VA hospital and you sign them out, let's say for a weekend visit back home, they won't let you sign them back into the hospital for continued care. That means that you're now stuck paying the bill.

So expect to see lots of sick vets on your corner and under bridges, bumming for dollars and living in cardboard boxes, more acts of violence committed by returning vets, an exorbitant suicide rate, more divorces, abused children and just plain high levels of dysfunctionality gone amok.

So much for supporting the fucking troops, eh?
