Job situation update
Edited on Thu Sep-01-05 02:29 PM by supernova
Ugh. I don't know what to think. I'm laid off ... sorta. I've been home the past week and 1/2.

My office mate and I are tentatively scheduled to trade the lay-off on Sept 12. That is, I would go back to work and she would take the lay-off. There are extenuating circumstances why that might happen, but that is in no way certain. Things could change. I'll only believe it if I'm ever sitting at that desk again.

I am looking for other work, in the meantime. This whole situation sucks. :-(

5. Thanks, GOP
I really, really, really liked that job too.

But I'll take all the hugs I can get. :-)

4. I'm sorry, supernova.
I'm also unemployed. Have decided to go to Houston to help with hurricane refugees, provided I can find free housing. I'd rather volunteer for a good cause than sit around doing nothing.

Of course, I have the luxury of having a significant other who is wiling and able to foot the rent until I find a job. Not everyone is so fortunate. My heart goes out to you, my friend.

6. That's a good thing you are doing, inthe flow
If I had an SO, I might consider something like that, but I do not. My resources are limited.
