Immediate neighbours - all of them; random folk in the village (whom I've never met) about 3/4, there's barely a single person who won't respond if one says "good morning" &c.

And you're expected to say "hi" or really "hey" to strangers on the street too. Common courtesy.

16. 0 even acknowledge our existence. Probably because I slammed the door

in the face of the 1st who came over to say "hi" after we moved in. I have no desire to know our neighbors since we sold the last place due to insane neighbors.
