Can I put the lid back on my personal Pandora's Box?
Is it possible?

I feel like the will to live has been sucked out of me this week / weekend. I don't feel like going on, at least when it comes to politics and "knowing" things. I know too damn much. I want to erase much of it from my brain and live like nothing is wrong.

Maybe it's selfish. I don't know. I can't deal with my own shit and the shit of the nation and the world for even one more second.

I am really hurting. At this point, I don't even know if I can recover from the Katrina marathon I subjected myself to. This weekend was hell...neck pain and sleep and Katrina are all I did. And deep down I really think shrub is going to get away with it. Again.

Is it possible to put the lid back on Pandora's Box?

1. I think it's time for The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

:)

2. Turn the TV off and spend some time here in the lounge.
I find it takes the "edge off" :grouphug:

3. I don't know
I'm a physical person so I worked on priming my house for painting (with a brush not a sprayer)And that helps me. I'm a "tough" woman in all ways, mentally physically and emotionally, yet I've cried too many times over the last few days. I relate to what you are saying. I really don't cry. It's not my thing. But here I am, at the drop of a hat almost, ready to weep at the next horrible picture, the next obnoxious press release. Fortunately I have very these ornery Swedish genes that make me go on. He may get away with it. He may not. But he won't get away with it without a fight from me. Blessings to you, I wish I could make you feel better. If I could send you strength across this electronic highway I would. If you need to rest, please rest. Remember our burden IS shared. If you need to lay it down for a time, we'll pick it up if need be. We're all in this together.
