1. It's interesting how architectural vernacular changes and stays the same
The fifth picture could so easily be in an English village (probably somewhere like Suffolk); yet several of the other pictures have just slight hints of which make them obviously German.

the thatched roof reminded me a lot of the cottages I saw in East Anglia. Interesting...

7. the cathedral is actually the city hall
started to get built in the 13th century and was exapanded over the centuries.

The theater was built in the early 19th century, opened in 1821, got renovated in the 90s.

The white building with the balcony was built in the late 19th century.

The so-called "Seabridge" was built in the early 20th century.

The other buildings are older. No idea how old.

I thought that most of the buildings would be before the 19th Century. Things are not as old as I thought.
